Privacy

Vialog is a personal record kept on your iPhone, and shown on your Apple Watch if you use one. This page says what it keeps, where that stays, and what leaves the device. Last changed 29 September 2026.

Vialog does not collect any data about you.

What the app keeps

The routines, schedules, quantities, injection sites, records, check-ins, body measurements (weight, body fat and lean mass), lab results, notes, photos and the amount on hand that you enter. Small settings such as the schedule zone, the appearance and whether App Lock is on. Nothing is collected that you did not type or choose.

Where it stays

On this iPhone, in the app's own storage, protected by the device passcode. There is no account, no sign-in and no server. The developer cannot see your records and has no way to ask for them. If iCloud Backup or a computer backup is on for this iPhone, the app's data is included in that backup under Apple's terms, encrypted the way the rest of the device backup is.

What leaves the device

Only what you send, and what your own Apple Watch is shown. A CSV export, a PDF report or a backup file is created when you ask for one and handed to the share sheet; where it goes from there is your choice, and anyone who has the file can read it. If you install the watch app, the coming week's schedule goes to your paired watch over Apple's direct connection between the two, as the Apple Watch section describes. The app makes no network connection of its own.

The Health app

Off unless you turn it on in Settings, and body measurements only: weight, body fat and lean mass. With it on, the readings you enter here are saved to Health and the readings already in Health appear in your journal. Nothing else is shared: not your routines, quantities, injection sites, notes, check-ins or lab results, and no injection is ever written to Health. Health is Apple's own app on this device, not a server. Turning the switch off stops the exchange; readings already given to Health stay there until you remove them in Health itself.

Analytics and tracking

None. The app has no analytics, no crash reporting service, no advertising and no third-party code that phones home. It does not track you across other apps or websites.

Reminders

Reminders are local notifications scheduled on the device; no reminder passes through a server. By default a reminder says only that you have a scheduled entry. Settings can add the routine's name and quantity, which then appear on the lock screen, and in widgets, for anyone who can see the phone.

Widgets, Siri and Shortcuts

A widget shows today's scheduled entries as times, and whether each has been recorded or skipped. So that it can, the app keeps a small copy of the coming week's schedule in storage it shares only with its own widgets, on this device. By default neither that copy nor a widget names a routine or a quantity; the setting that adds them to reminders adds them to widgets too, and a locked iPhone hides them. Siri and Shortcuts record or skip an entry only after you confirm what will be written, and only with the device unlocked. A spoken reply or confirmation names a routine only with that setting on, or when Siri asks which of your routines you mean.

Apple Watch

Only if the watch app is installed. Your iPhone sends it the coming week's scheduled entries — times, and whether each has been recorded or skipped — directly over Apple's watch connection, with no server in between. By default no routine name or quantity is sent; the setting that adds them to reminders adds them here too. The watch keeps that copy for its complications and nothing else. Recording or skipping on the watch asks the iPhone to do it, and it is saved there, at the planned quantity.

App Lock

When on, the app asks for Face ID, Touch ID or the device passcode before it opens, and shows a blank cover in the app switcher. Authentication is done by iOS; the app never sees your face, fingerprint or passcode.

The purchase

Vialog Pro is bought through the App Store. Apple handles the payment and keeps the receipt; the app only learns whether the purchase is owned. The app does not receive your name, email address or payment details.

Your control

Everything can be exported as CSV or backed up as a file at any time, without a purchase. Delete all records in Settings removes every record from the device, and removing the app removes its storage. There is nothing held elsewhere to ask for or to delete.

Children

The app is not directed at children and keeps no record of anyone's age.

Changes

If a future version changes any of this, the change appears on this page, on the app's own Privacy screen, and in the version's release notes before it takes effect.
