Privacy Policy
Arrival Sky for iPhone · effective 17 October 2026
Arrival Sky shows the real sky and a birth chart, with reflective readings. It is built to keep your information on your iPhone. This policy explains what the app stores, what leaves your iPhone and to whom, and how to delete it.
The short version
- Arrival Sky has no account, no server, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. The developer does not receive your birth details, journal, readings, plans or location.
- Some things involve Apple: place search uses Apple Maps, location comes from iOS, and purchases go through the App Store.
- You can delete items one by one, or everything at once in Settings › Privacy and your data.
What Arrival Sky stores on your iPhone
When you use the app, it stores on your iPhone: your birth date, time and place, and those of any friends you add; readings you save; your journal entries; observing plans and their reminder choices; and your settings, including an observing place you choose. A cache of composed daily readings is also kept and may be cleared by iOS.
This data is not synced between devices. Your iPhone's own backups (iCloud Backup or a computer) may include it, under your backup settings.
What leaves your iPhone
Place search (Apple Maps). When you search for a birthplace or observing place, the text you type and the place you choose are sent to Apple to find matches and the place's time zone. Apple's privacy policy applies to that processing.
Location (optional). If you allow location while using the app, iOS provides your position so Arrival Sky can show the sky above you. Arrival Sky keeps it in memory and does not send it anywhere. It is stored only if you save an observing plan at your current location, and then only in that plan on your iPhone.
Purchases (App Store). Arrival Sky Pro is bought, restored and refunded through Apple. Arrival Sky only learns whether Pro is owned; it never receives payment details.
Links. Source and safety links (for example NASA) open in your browser when you tap them.
Files you export or share. If you export your journal, share a comparison's headline as a picture, or share a chart poster (which shows a name and birth details), the file goes wherever you save or send it, and only when you choose to. Posters drawn for sharing are removed when you close them and by Delete all.
Motion and notifications
Motion data turns the sky as you move your phone. It is used live and never stored. Notifications are local, put together and delivered on your iPhone, and asked for only when you choose a reminder for an observing plan or turn on the morning brief. A plan's reminder contains the plan's object or event name, not personal details. The morning brief, if you turn it on in Settings, contains the day's headline and a suggestion from your own reading, composed on this iPhone from your chart; like any notification it can show on the Lock Screen unless you change iOS's notification previews.
Exports
Journal export is a copy you control, not a backup; Arrival Sky cannot import it. The readable text holds dates, prompts and your words. The structured JSON also holds, for an entry linked to a saved reading, that reading, including the birth date, time and place of the person it was for.
Deleting your data
In the app you can remove a friend, a saved reading, a journal entry or the whole journal, and an observing plan with its reminder. Settings › Privacy and your data › Delete all Arrival Sky data removes everything listed above from your iPhone at once and cancels its reminders. Deleting the app also removes it. Neither removes copies in backups or files you exported. Arrival Sky Pro stays with your Apple Account.
Diagnostics
Arrival Sky writes technical messages to the iOS system log for troubleshooting. They stay on your iPhone unless you choose to share diagnostics with Apple. Arrival Sky does not use a crash-reporting service.
Children
Arrival Sky does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children, because it does not collect personal information at all.
Changes
If a future version changes what is collected, this policy and the App Store privacy details will be updated before that version is released.
